When people ask me whether I got my flying experience via the Civilian or Military route, I say “Yes”, because I believe I fell somewhere between those two worlds (though I don’t think they should be exclusive). My lifelong dream has always been to be an Airline Pilot. I really had no idea what that meant, or would take to accomplish. All I knew is that I wanted to be behind the controls of a jet, getting paid to do what I love…fly!!!
About Inside the Cockpit
Every pilot comes through their aviation career from a different perspective and path. But, we all have things in common: basic skills we need to acquire and experiences we must go through.
Our website is designed to be a place for those pilots who never want to stop learning. Nothing should be lost from another person’s experience. Our goal is to be a resource for continued growth and learning for you…the Professional Pilot. You may be an Airline Captain with 20,000 hours in heavy jets or a brand new student working on your Private Pilot License in a C-152. We all started from the same place!
Contributors
We are a collection of aviators sharing their knowledge and passion for flying with fellow pilots. Everyone comes from a different background. Some have been in the military, others from a traditional civilian background, some from a mixture of both. Our hope is that you see in the end, we are all the same…pilots who want to be the best we can be…every flight…every day. We all have the best seat in the aircraft…“Inside the Cockpit…from the Pilot’s Seat!”
Blessings,
